Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist is responsible for generating and sending invoices and credit memos to customers, as well as processing incoming bills from clients. This role requires strong communication skills to address and resolve any discrepancies with customers effectively. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and must quickly adapt to the in-house software during training. The Billing Specialist is expected to meet deadlines consistently, ask insightful questions, and maintain a high level of motivation. Cross-training is a key aspect of the role, so the candidate should be willing and able to assist in other areas of the department, such as Accounts Receivable and Collections. Candidates with medical billing experience will not be considered for this position.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in billing, invoicing, business-to-business collections, or accounts receivable.
  • High school diploma required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred and may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Information:
  • This is a contract to hire opportunity
  • The role is 100% onsite with no flexibility for hybrid or remote consideration. Candidates who apply outside of the Columbus Metro area may not be contacted unless they indicate plans to relocate to the area without financial assistance.

Pay Transparency Notice

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
