Steiner Industries, a division of Bunzl, isseeking a Warehouse Worker for our facility in Fairfield. Thisposition will perform a variety of functions that may include,picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders,or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Theideal candidate must be well-suited to work in a fast-pacedenvironment and have prior warehouse experience.

Day Shift: Monday -Friday (overtime based on businessneed)

Responsibilities:

  • Pick customer orders as indicated on picktickets and process in system
  • Wrap and labelpallets; load trucks as needed
  • May operate anindustrial forklift
  • Conduct bin walks asrequested, checking empty bins
  • Align palletsin slots and level load slots
  • Maintain aclean, organized and safe work environment
  • Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks asrequested by the Warehouse Manager or immediateSupervisor

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse operationexperience
  • Basic computer skills; accuracy andefficiency
  • Must be dependable and a teamplayer
  • Must be able to lift more than 40 lbsand frequent lifting on average of 20 to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 21feet above the ground (with provided safetyequipment/processes/training)
  • Strong attentionto detail
  • Reliable and punctual
