Technical Writer

Key Role:

Write and edit technical documentation and user manuals for various audiences. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Develop and implement the appropriate medium for the target audience when writing manuals, online videos, and graphics. Edit material prepared by other writers or staff. Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with writing a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses

  • Experience with coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office software

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience as a writer and editor or technical writer, or 8+ years of experience as a writer and editor or technical writer in lieu of a degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
