Database Analyst, Lead

Key Role:

Serve as a database analyst responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting software programs, including desktop applications and computer-based Information Technology (IT) systems. Coordinate the design, development, modification, and troubleshooting of databases and programs. Correct database and program errors using methods such as modifying programs or altering sequence of program steps. Analyze, review, or rewrite databases or programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements such as web hosting of metrics. Compile and write documentation for database and program development and subsequent revisions. Train users to use databases or programs. Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, and train operators to use programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in deploying applications with a modern programming language, including Python or Java

  • 4+ years of experience with database engineering and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL

  • 2+ years of experience with developing data models and data strategies

  • Experience with developing and supporting Microsoft Access databases, including VBA, Access Macros, and SQL

  • Experience with data modeling concepts and leading a technical team

  • Knowledge of Naval Aviation processes and their data systems, including NAMP, P-485, OOMA or DECKPLATE, Advana or Jupiter, AMSRR, AFAST, ACES, TFMMS, SHARP or M-SHARP, PsILS, or ASM

  • Knowledge of programming and programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing with Databricks

  • Experience with using visualization systems, including Qlik or Tableau

  • Experience with supporting the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating with multiple functional groups

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
