Soliant has been engaged by a hospital in Philadelphia, PA 19140, to find a skilled pharmacist for a 13-week assignment starting on 8/26. This position involves working the afternoon/evening shift from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Job Summary: The Pharmacist will review all medication orders from Physicians and Physician Extenders, ensuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab information to prevent clinical conflicts before dispensing medications.
  • Managing inventory control.
  • Providing drug information support to other healthcare team members.
  • Overseeing pharmacy students and technicians to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team on continuum of care and discharge planning.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors Degree: College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (Required)
    • Doctorate Degree: PharmD (Preferred)
  • Experience:
    • 1 Year of hospital experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting (Preferred)
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • PA Pharmacist License (Required)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preferred)
