Data Visualization Specialist

Key Role:

Apply expertise in business intelligence and developer work to develop custom visualizations and outputs that integrate with Tableau and other custom UIs. Engage with stakeholders to comprehend client challenges, prototype new ideas and technologies, and help create solutions that drive the next wave of innovation. Analyze, implement, schedule, test, and deploy full features and components of solutions. Ensure the quality delivery of software through thorough testing and reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with using Tableau or PowerBI to aggregate and analyze data collected from various sources

  • 6+ years of experience in working with non-SQL and SQL database development

  • 6+ years of experience with using advanced analytical methods, storytelling methods, and data visualization tools to develop data-driven narratives

  • Experience with using Python or R for statistical computing

  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis

  • Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices and UI/UX methodologies and best practices

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and distill information into coherent and compelling narratives, making it accessible to a broad audience

  • Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements and work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Agile methodology and Scrum

  • Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including natural language processing, random forest, clustering, optimization, and linear programming

  • Knowledge of experimental research methodologies

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to demonstrate clean coding habits, pay strict attention to detail, and focus on quality

  • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and communicate with multiple functional groups

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
