CV Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist for a temporary assignment of 3-6+ months. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction industry and hands-on experience with a large ERP system. This is a full-time onsite position with the potential for permanent conversion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and execute payments via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, disputes, and inquiries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
  • Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • ERP System Utilization: Input and manage AP transactions within a large ERP system, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Compliance: Adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate and review AP reports and provide insights on outstanding invoices and payment status.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • ERP System: Proficiency in using a large ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for AP functions.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle vendor inquiries and internal communications effectively.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
