Air Vehicle Engineering Support

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for someone to support a U.S. military's Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. In this role, you will provide engineering support to FMS Structural Engineers by using the most updated System Safety (SS) and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) information. You will organize meetings with Structural Engineers to gather engineering needs and offer engineering solutions. You’ll also communicate and discuss with Subject Matter Experts (SME) from multiple disciplines and attend SS and ASIP events to collect the most up-to-date information and share it amongst the FMS community.

You’ll coordinate and route the review steps of all partner and FMS customer quarterly Airframe Service Life CDRLs, including Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) reports, structural certification reports, Loads and Environmental Spectra Survey (LESS) reports, and system certification plans, and the annual Force Structural Maintenance Plan (FSMP) CDRL tailored for each operating customer using the Airframe Team Inbox for routing and approval tracking. While data resides in the Joint Strike Fighter Data Library (JDL), you shall coordinate approval voting via email with the JPO Document Management team.

You’ll also perform duties such as attending PMRs, Engineering Change boards, and Configuration boards, in-order to be aware of and weigh in as necessary for airframe changes that affect FMS variants. You will also be responsible for briefing FMS entities on proposed or coming changes, and the handling needs to accommodate.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft design, integration, or modification, including aircraft structures, electrical and mechanical systems or subsystems, and airborne weapons systems integration
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
