Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): North Kingsville, OH

Soliant Health is partnering with a respected school district in North Kingsville, OH, and seeking qualified candidates for a contract position for the upcoming school year.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Ohio SLP license
  • Previous experience in educational settings or with pediatric populations preferred

Description of Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement speech services aligned with student IEPs, state standards, and educational objectives.
  2. Conduct direct individual and group therapy sessions to address speech and language disorders effectively.
  3. Provide clinical supervision to Speech and Language Assistants as required.
  4. Administer comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess student needs accurately.
  5. Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing insights and ensuring goals meet student requirements.
  6. Chair annual review meetings for students receiving speech/language services to review progress and update plans as necessary.
  7. Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to integrate speech therapy goals into educational plans and classroom activities.
  8. Consult with classroom personnel to support the implementation of student goals and accommodations effectively.
  9. Maintain detailed and organized records of student progress, treatment plans, and evaluations.
  10. Conduct evaluations required for progress reports, annual assessments, and reevaluations promptly and comprehensively.
  11. Organize daily schedule to meet direct service requirements and utilize indirect time effectively.
  12. Foster ongoing communication with parents to support student development and encourage family involvement.
  13. Recommend and implement additional supports or interventions as needed, such as feeding strategies or AAC use, to enhance student outcomes.
