Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: North Charleston, SC

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success. This role requires effective collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and recommendations.
  • Provide training and resources to staff and parents on speech and language development.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid South Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
