**Role Overview:**
As the Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary identity of our restaurant. Beyond merely overseeing kitchen operations, you will be a visionary leader who upholds our farm-to-table ethos and ensures that every plate reflects our core beliefs. We are seeking an individual who is not only proficient in culinary techniques but also possesses a deep understanding of ingredient sourcing, kitchen management, and team leadership.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Culinary Excellence:** Execute culinary creations that showcase the freshness and quality of locally sourced ingredients. Strive for innovation while honoring traditional cooking methods and flavors.

2. **Ingredient Sourcing:** Forge and maintain strong relationships with local farms and artisans to secure the finest seasonal produce, meats, fish, and artisanal products. Stay abreast of market trends and emerging ingredients.

3. **Kitchen Operations:** Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and kitchen cleanliness.

4. **Staff Management:** Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff to uphold high standards of excellence. Conduct training sessions to enhance culinary skills, promote teamwork, and foster a positive work environment.

5. **Expedition:** Serve as a strong expeditor during service hours, orchestrating the flow of dishes from kitchen to table with precision and efficiency. Maintain composure in high-pressure situations and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

6. **Financial Management:** Manage kitchen budgets, including food costs, inventory control, and purchasing. Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize profitability. Handle payroll duties effectively.

**Qualifications:**

1. Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, farm-to-table restaurant environment.
2. Expertise in butchering fish and meat, with a keen eye for quality and presentation.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
4. Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative yet approachable dishes.
5. Proficiency in kitchen management software, stock market, and payroll systems.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
