As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help drive our financial success.

Position Summary: The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the financial planning, management, and strategic direction of the company. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial operations, including overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation or logistics industry and a strong background in financial leadership for small to mid-sized companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the company's financial strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support business growth and profitability.
  2. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, tax planning, and financial reporting.
  3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA financial requirements.
  4. Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions to ensure optimal financing and cash flow management.
  5. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company, such as investments, expansion, and cost control.
  6. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  7. Develop and implement financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets.
  8. Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial goals and strategies.
  9. Prepare financial presentations for the board of directors and investors.
  10. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure effective and efficient financial operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  2. Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in a small to mid-sized company, preferably in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  4. Experience with financial forecasting, modeling, and strategic planning.
  5. Familiarity with transportation industry regulations, including DOT and FMCSA financial requirements.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
