Assistant Sports Turf Manager

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, skin maintenance, clay repair on plates and mounds, painting, chalking, mowing, edging, irrigation work, aerating, topdressing, fertility program, setting up and breaking down temporary fence, equipment repair and maintenance, and all other jobs given.
  • Develops programming and plans for field maintenance according to Department and staff required standards.
  • Coordinates and performs work to ensure upkeep and maintenance of all fields.
  • Cooperates and communicates with necessary staff members in providing safe, clean, and well-maintained fields for general use and scheduled events.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays during the season.
  • Works with administrative and office staff in developing a budget, maintaining records and receipt of purchases, and following purchasing and procurement procedures.
  • Will have to work time to time with Facility Maintenance Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sports turf maintenance or relevant experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  •  Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Salary for this position is $41,600, plus overtime.
