  • Summary The IFT-R FLT/CC will work directly for the Chief Pilot and be responsible for directing live flight and simulator operations associated with student pilot training in the Bell 505 helicopter in support of the contract task order.
  • This includes but is not limited to filling in as the Chief Pilot in their absence, supervising daily activities, acting as risk mitigation briefing authority, and taking a lead role in developing new programs enabling the safe and efficient execution of future IFT-R Helicopter training requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring all programs lead to safe flight operations and coordinating with investigating officials (military or federal) for any aircraft incidents/accidents.
  • License(s)/Certificate(s): Current FAA Commercial Pilot, Instrument Helicopter.
  • Current FAA CFI/I Helicopter certification.
  • 1000 hours of instruction given Military IP/Civilian CFI/I. FAA Dual Instruction experience preferred.
  • FAA Commercial Rotary Pilot's License rating and Certificated Flight Instructor/Instrument-Rotary or can readily obtain through a military competency process with the FAA.
