Position: IFT-R Instructor Pilot

Navigator Development Group Inc is seeking qualified candidates for the role of a rotary wing instructor pilot. This position involves training new student pilots as part of the United States Air Force Air Education and Training Command's Introductory Flight Training - Rotary (IFT-R) program.
Qualifications and Educational BackgroundTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess an FAA Certificated Commercial Pilot license for Helicopter, including an Instrument Helicopter rating.
- Hold a current FAA Certificated Flight Instructor Helicopter license with an Instrument Helicopter instructor rating, or be a graduate of a formal Rotary Wing Instructor Pilot training program recognized by the US Department of Defense.
- Previous experience as a Helicopter instructor pilot in the US Air Force is preferred.
- Accumulate a minimum of 500 hours of turbine helicopter flight time, including 100 hours of hooded instrument time, flight simulator instrument time, or weather pilot time, along with 75 hours of night flying.
- Have at least 500 hours of Flight Instructor time, demonstrating experience in primary flight training within FAA 14CFR Part 61 and/or Part 141 environments.
- Experience in instructing students in instrument flight training is essential.
- Maintain a current FAA Class 2 medical certificate.
- Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
- Exhibit a high level of motivation and self-direction.
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift a minimum of 40 pounds overhead.
- Navigate stairs and ladders to access simulators or aircraft cockpits.
- Perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and crawling.
- Detect sounds and odors to identify potential issues with simulators and their environments.
- Distinguish colors effectively.
