We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for establishing a preventive maintenance plan that includes all equipment, machinery, vehicles, building fixtures, plumbing, A/C, and tools. Maintains a maintenance log to ensure item are prioritized and completed on time. Compliance with HACCP plans and regulations while ensuring safety awareness and prevention measures are followed within the facility to prevent accidents.
Essential Functions
- Schedules daily work according to PM plan.
- Maintains maintenance log to ensure work orders are prioritized and completed in a timely fashion.
- Coordinates work to avoid disruption in production.
- Performs work per local building department codes.
- Orders replacement items, preventative maintenance inventory, and other items as needed.
- Performs plumbing repairs and replacement work.
- Ensure safe practices are followed while loading and unloading aircrafts.
- Complies with third-party security inspections and verification procedures.
- Ensure food safety and HACCP requirements are followed.
- Maintain dish room equipment to ensure equipment is clean, operates correctly, and is available to the facility to meet production requirements.
- Manage maintenance and production equipment inventory within the facility.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Manage departmental costs to ensure the attainment of monthly financial budget.
- Ensure safety awareness and training are implemented in all related departments.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and a combination of education and experience
- Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Food manufacturing or processing experience a plus.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of broad-based maintenance experience.
- Candidate bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Effective employee relations skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel.
- Competent to work independently within the area of expertise.
- Ability to solve equipment maintenance-related problems.
- Knows and follows all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment.
- Must be able to function within a team environment.
- Performs tasks under general supervision.
