Job Summary

A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various systems and equipment within a facility. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the facility and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including heavy machinery and industrial systems
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and coordinate with external contractors
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
  • Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
  • Perform basic weld, fabrication, drywall, painting, plumbing, conduit, and HVAC repairs
  • Test security and fire system operations
  • Adhere to all company policies and OSHA rules
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience in a facilities maintenance group
  • Ability to use shop equipment, including sanders, drill press, and scissor lift
  • Ability to perform new electrical installation for industrial equipment and repair existing electrical in an industrial setting
  • Ability to work safely by following policies and procedures in an industrial environment
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Able to work alone and in a team environment
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time, up to an entire shift
  • Ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a single workday
  • Typing, punching, or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm
