We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-tier maintenance and repair services to ensure our machinery and equipment operate at peak performance. This role involves working with complex mechanical systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. The successful candidate will be a problem-solver, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and machinery. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
6. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
7. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
8. Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, and factories.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
3. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
4. Excellent understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
5. Proficient in using hand and power tools and precision measurement tools.
6. Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical diagrams.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
8. Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime if needed.
9. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
10. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
11. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
12. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
