The Utah Grizzlies are seeking an experienced individual to operate the arena music during the 2024-2025 season.  This position will be responsible for choosing and playing the music each game, keeping an upbeat and energetic atmosphere in the Maverik Center. This is a part-time, seasonal position lasting from October 5, 2024 â May 30, 2025.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Director of Game Operations and game day production staff to execute a fun, energetic, high-energy show at the Maverik Center
  • Prepare and execute the playing of all pre-game, in-game, situational, and post-game music selections
  • Become familiar with audio software and the uploading and editing of music
  • Mix audio sources to appropriate levels
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Attend paid training during September/October 2024
 

Qualifications:

  • Must know the game of Hockey
  • Have a good sense of current and popular music and know when to play certain songs and chants during the appropriate hockey scenarios
  • Familiar with computers and audio equipment
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to detail
  • A positive attitude
  • Must be reliable and exhibit commitment to meeting both the work schedule and job requirements
  • Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb up/down flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to on a regular and continuing basis.
 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time, seasonal position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends during hockey season. Must be available to arrive up to one and a half (1.5) hours prior to game time.
