Responsibilities:
Accurately estimate labor and material costs for commercial plumbing projects ranging from $2M to $20M. Prepare detailed, competitive, and accurate bid proposals for various projects, including hospitals (OSHPD/HCAI), data centers, laboratories, schools, and universities. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive estimates. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess potential risks and opportunities. Maintain a database of historical data for use in future estimates and bids. Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for price and scope clarity. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of experience in plumbing estimating for large-scale commercial projects. Proven track record of working on projects within the $2M to $20M range. Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and current industry practices. Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam, FastPIPE, and MS Project. Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Preferred Skill Sets: Local to Orange County with a stable work history. Experience with OSHPD/HCAI regulations and requirements. Advanced knowledge in BIM software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Team player with a passion for the commercial mechanical industry.
