JOB DUTIES:

  • Coordinate the logistics (location, space, materials, training, facilitators, etc.) for six (6) bi-monthly meetings of the Advisory Council on Quality (ACQ). All meetings are in Albuquerque or Santa Fe or online (e.g. Zoom).
  • Coordinate the logistics for six ACQ listening sessions. All ACQ listening sessions are in Albuquerque or Santa Fe or on-line (e.g. Zoom).
  • Meet with the ACQ Executive Committee prior to each ACQ meeting to develop agenda, discuss membership and other relevant issues.
  • Meet with the ACQ Executive Committee following each ACQ meeting and listening session.
  • Publish and distribute announcements in accordance with the New Mexico Open
  • Meetings Act and the ACQ By-Laws.
  • Coordinate with presenters, including Advocates and Self-Advocates, other state agencies, and relevant stakeholders to present at meetings.
  • Coordinate and distribute materials to be discussed at ACQ meetings.
  • Facilitate relevant sections of the ACQ’s meetings.
  • Take meeting notes and develop meeting summaries and distribute to ACQ members within 2 weeks in advance of the next meeting.
  • Coordinate the process for nominating ACQ members and collaborate with the ACQ
  • Executive Committee in making recommendations to the Governor’s Office regarding new ACQ members in accordance with ACQ by-laws.
  • Coordinate orientation for new ACQ members, as needed.
  • Compose and/or edit and distribute correspondence on behalf of the ACQ.
  • Maintain a membership list of current ACQ members and work with the ACQ
  • Executive Committee regarding membership issues.
  • Coordinate with designated Health Care Authority staff to post ACQ materials such as meeting minutes, agenda, membership list, etc. to the Department’s website.
  • Attend all meetings of the ACQ and attend relevant ACQ sub-committee meetings as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university plus 2 years of experience in training, adult education, and/or quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and or experience
  • Written communication skills, ability to write reports and to make presentations
  • Detail oriented, extensive documentation skills, organized and able to work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Maintains punctuality for work, appointments and report dates
  • Ability to self-start but also works well in a team setting
  • Can collaborate effectively with others
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and the use of email and other applications
  • Possesses a valid driver's license, and is able to travel throughout the agency service areas
