Job OverviewAs Product Marketing Manager at Komatsu, your primary focus is to drive measurable growth in customer engagement and revenue through strategic content marketing, assiduous brand stewardship, and consistent nurturing and development of stakeholder relationships. You’re a proven leader, exceptional at identifying marketing and communications opportunities and leading development of projects and targeted campaigns that meet both customer and business needs.
Key Job Responsibilities- Own, develop, and lead marketing strategies for Komatsu’s electric drive trucks (EDT), by connecting our customers’ needs to the value provided by our products, services and solutions.
- Work with marketing manager(s) in Marketing Communications group to manage, coordinate, and oversee key marketing and communication initiatives, programs and campaigns, ensuring efficiency and timely execution of work, eliminating bottlenecks whenever possible through effective planning, prioritization and organization.
- In conjunction with the product managers and product specialists, collect voice of customer regarding product/service/support by directly visiting customer job sites and working with regional sales staff/distribution. Assist with coordinating surveys, creating questionnaires, and hosting customer interviews to acquire this data. Responsible for building and maintaining a repository for VOC information.
- Develop and maintain sales enablement tools and training materials for Komatsu dealers and distributors, ensuring branded materials are up-to-date and aligned with overarching strategy. Accountable for creation of product presentations and specifications sheets for existing and new products, working with product managers and product specialists on priorities and content. Create the storyboards for videos and animations, and work through marketing manager in MarComm to deliver the media via the creative team.
- Assist the product director in the creation of the overall strategic plan for the EDT line.
- Assist the product management team with customer visits to our facilities/proving grounds. On occasion, back-up the product managers/specialists to deliver presentations to customers in the field. This will require a base level of product knowledge to be gained through formal training and site visits.
- Work with the key MarComm teams, including content team, digital team, and project manager(s) to develop and execute content and editorial plans in relevant channels, to reach and resonate with target audience(s).
- Lead the coordination of the product team’s planning and participation in conferences, seminars and trade shows. Schedule meetings and interviews with internal stakeholders to validate and constantly improve marketing activities and messages.
Will consider candidates that have transferable skills that meets the requirements of a Product Specialist or Product Manager level position.
