  • Provide technical expertise in Video, Card Access, IT Networking, Cyber Security, Active Directory, Cloud Infrastructure Domains, and radio infrastructure.
  • Offer technical support and ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Handle the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wired communications systems, including LAN and WAN.
  • Implement Video, Card Access, and Radio Systems.
  • Install server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and address system/application related issues.
  • Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to understand client needs and objectives, converting them into detailed requirements.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and solution acceptance process.
  • Perform pre-production client acceptance testing for quality assurance.
  • Work independently and carry out duties without direct supervision.
  • Engage with internal teams, such as Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service, to collect client requirements and form comprehensive requirements.
  • Ensure the effective installation and configuration of video, card access, and radio systems.
  • Handle server hardware/OS and software infrastructure installation, and troubleshoot to solve system/application issues.
  • Manage the setup, configuration, and ongoing support of computer networks, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
  • Perform client acceptance testing before production to ensure quality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors, addressing any technical or operational issues.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies, and suggest improvements and enhancements to systems.
  • Utilize MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Workspace to create reports and documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge of Video, Card Access, IT networking, cyber security, Active Directory, and cloud infrastructure domains and radio infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of wired communications systems including LAN and WAN, proficient in network installation, configuration, troubleshoot and maintenance.

  • Must be knowledgeable in the implementation of Video, Card Access and Radio Systems

  • Must be knowledgeable in the installation of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting to resolve system/application related issues.

  • Skilled in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.

  • Must have strong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with Motorola's customers and subcontractor community, as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service teams.

  • Gather Client needs and objectives, both technical and operational, and translate into detailed requirements.

  • Positively contribute to the implementation process, spanning planning, execution, and solution acceptance by the Client.

  • Ensure successful pre-production Client acceptance testing for quality assurance.

  • Must be self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision.

  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Workspace applications.

Travel Requirements:

  • System Technologists can live anywhere in the United States within a commutable distance to a major airport.
  • This position includes a significant travel component throughout the assigned region of the United States, requiring up to 50% or more.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree and 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Video, Card Access, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, IP Networking, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military experience, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, or Motorola equipment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
