Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Imaging Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our imaging services, ensuring high-quality patient care and workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of our imaging services, ensuring quality image and patient care.
  • Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide guidance and support to department staff and other team members as needed.
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  • Contribute to staff performance evaluations.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) required.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience or 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
