Note: This is a 1 year temporary assignment located in NYC beginning May 2024 and ending May 31, 2025.


Your Job:


As a Community and Events Specialist, you will have ownership over in-store experiences as well as outdoor events and activations. This opportunity is based in New York, NY. The Community and Events Specialist will be the onsite leader for all marketing events, activations, and other efforts, all with the focus of supporting the Marketing & Brooks strategy to reach more runners in urban cities.

 

You will be critical to Brooks’ success with Event Partners and direct-to-runner activations, by developing and executing marketing programs and activations that meet the runner when and where they are running. You will ultimately support the brand strategy and drive business through integrated marketing concepts that target prospective runners with a branded experience that authenticates Brooks and validates our position as a premium running brand.


Your Responsibilities:

Partner with Event Marketing team to develop and carry out all activations, executing Brooks brand moments and marketing campaigns in-line with the strategy to reach more urban city runnersEducate and motivate runners and community partners about Brooks technology and product leadership via in-store activations, group runs and eventsLead and support all community events and content activations intended to boost sales, educate, and familiarize runners with our brandManage the time and workload of additional Brooks volunteers, ambassadors, and Brooks Running Collective members that cycle through to help with group runs, community engagement and events​Facilitate connections through community outreach, field marketing, and connecting with local run crews and community groupsLead weekly group runs and other weekly scheduled programmingUpdate weekly reporting docs and send weekly status update email​Plan and lead group runs as neededRepresent Brooks brand values in all our effortsIdentify key opportunities in local running scene to help us reach more runners, being adaptable and responsive to local needs.​Create traffic-driving events to promote sales​, making recommendations of event changes to be made to increase attendanceDrive marketing through BRC, influencer team, and other venues​Communicate programming schedules and details to retail partner Track program spending and report to Event Marketing teamIdentify additional partnership opportunities in the community to help drive traffic to events and retail.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, required or equivalent combination of education and exp1+ years of hands-on experience in eventsExperience in multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced team environment Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills with an eye for detailProject management skills and ability to prioritize multiple concurrent deadlines Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is a plusAbility to create detailed project plans Ability to work professionally and efficiently with company partners and internal stakeholdersComputer proficiency required with MS Office A passion for the running enthusiast and Brooks valuesAbility to travel frequently to national events



Compensation: Pay is $28 - $39 per hour.
