WHAT YOUâLL WORK ON

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Stockroom.

The Stockroom Team Lead is responsible to perform Procurement duties including preparing, processing, and verifying orders.  Responsible for support and training of users in the Ariba system.    The Team Lead will learn all aspects of the Stock Clerk role and assist in maintaining stock items.  Including but not limited to resolving issues related to shipment, vendor issues, completion of cycle counts, expediting orders and answering vendor questions. Special projects relating to stockroom or purchasing may be assigned.  The majority of time is spent utilizing computer applications, associated with Purchasing and Inventory control to ensure Procurement needs are met along with maintaining the integrity of the inventory.

MAIN RESPONSABILITES

â¢Coordinating and reviewing/verifying the stockroom documents (i.e. Stock Adds, Obsoletes, PO's, KPl's). Assure that documents are controlled and maintained according to Division and plant record retention requirements.

â¢Train and be familiar with all functions of the Stockroom Purchasing Coordinator, Stockroom Clerk and provide back up, when necessary.

â¢Assure that documents are controlled and maintained according to Division and plant record retention requirements.

â¢Oversee the cycle counting process and investigate discrepancies, adjusting inventory as needed.

â¢Vendor contacts â keep an open line of communication needed for placing orders and obtaining information.

â¢Work closely with maintenance in locating needed items to avoid downtime.

â¢Supports plants users in the Ariba system with requisitions, invoicing, and overall system functionality.

â¢Assist all areas in the plant concerning requisitions and purchase orders.

â¢Assist in reducing stockroom spare parts inventory.

â¢Responsible for the audit of all purchases generated through the stockroom requisitioning process according to corporate policy and procedure.  This includes confirmation that all proper authorizations have been obtained and that all other Corporate and Division guidelines have been followed.

â¢Utilize Maximo/SAP and other computer systems to monitor inventory levels

â¢The verification of invoices, credit memos and receipt discrepancies.  Investigates and resolves open invoice issues.

â¢Works with stock clerks to resolve wrong parts issues, communicating to suppliers to help resolve these issues.

â¢Reconcile all outstanding credits due to the return of materials to the vendor.  All quantities returned and the reason for the return must be verified and made satisfactory to both parties.

â¢Works with the Customs teams to ensure proper paperwork and shipping of international orders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOUâLL BRING

Required

  • Bachelorâs Degree (± 16 years) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in a combination of Materials Management, Finance, Customer Service and/or Plant Operations, or a bachelorâs degree, is required.   
  • This position requires a high level of attention to detail, good written and verbal communication, and analytical problem-solving skills. Must be computer literate. The job requires working with a complex computer inventory accounting system. Must be able to perform a varied number of duties with high levels of interruptions This position requires problem solving abilities in investigating order discrepancies and expediting outstanding/rush orders.
