We are actively expanding and seeking both bilingual and non-bilingual Legal Assistants to join our team. Description Sussman Law Firm, PLLC is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and offers legal services primarily in the areas of family and immigration law. However, we also handle a variety of other issues. We are not your typical law firm. We are poised for aggressive growth, and we are looking for a Legal Assistant who can hit the ground running. More importantly, you will find great joy in helping our clients find solutions in the areas of their lives that matter most Responsibilities: • We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to be our next Legal Assistant. • What would a Legal Assistant do? Legal Assistants are integral members of our firm who are responsible for ensuring our clients receive the best legal service possible. • Legal Assistants deal with clients regularly and engage in case management. • Their primary goal is to provide attorney support by assisting with maintaining client files; drafting correspondence and other documents, and communicating with clients. Qualifications: • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred but not required. • You must have a High School Diploma. • College or university credits are preferred. • Two (2) years of experience working in an office setting is required but need not be in a law firm. A college degree can be substituted for one (1) year of office work experience. • You must be a positive and uplifting person. If you see the glass as being half full, you are the type of person we are looking for • You must be competent and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word, at a minimum. If you are familiar with Practice Panther, Basecamp, or Lawmatics, that is a plus. • You must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. • You must be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right the first time. • You must be a team player.
