Vaco is hiring for an Accounting Clerk opportunity in Brooklyn Park MN.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk who is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • File Sales & Use Tax of different states (Monthly, quarterly, Semi-Annually, Annually).
  • Send Tax Certificates as requested by Vendors.
  • Open accounting Period.
  • Checks weekly invoices to vendors for Payments from customers
  • Generation of Accounting Reports
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.

Required Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree, Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
  2. Knowledge of accounting programs (Quickbooks)
  3. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel) or related software.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Experience with government order fulfillment software.
  3. Experience with responding to government customer inquiries.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
