Job Summary: The Temporary Research Support assists in research work in support of a major research project which may include duties such as gathering, tracking and entering data, preparing support material, etc.

Additional Department Summary: The Center for Advanced Vehicle Technology (CAVT) is seeking a candidate for a position to support on-going research programs in the area of engine control development and performance testing. Initial appointments are for up to 6 months, with extension possible upon demonstration of research productivity. This position will work under the direction of Dr. Joshua Bittle.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and some experience related to the responsibilities of the assignment(s).

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Pursing a degree in a relevant Engineering field, with experience related to engines and combustion field.

Candidates will need to be at least Junior classification (or equivalent) in their undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree program. Applicants should upload a cover letter, curriculum vitae and include at references in the reference section of the application. Skills and Knowledge: Experience or course work in engine performance modeling and programming experience in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python or similar.
