Main purpose of the role

This role is for an experienced Trade Program Manager within the automotive OEM parts sector for one of our main global prestige automotive clients. Based in Mahwah, NJ but will also involve travel as required for the role. The Trade Program Manager will be wholly responsible for increasing OEM parts sales in the market, with a focus on enhancing our current client partnership and increasing overall incremental sales revenue and profitability. 

 

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Increase national OEM parts sales share within the IAM marketplace.
  • Implementation and execution of brands strategy: pricing, parts portfolio, distribution, sales & marketing.
  • Work across the OEM brand and MSX organizations to create best in class program
  • Create strong & succinct business plans and deliver back to the client.
  • Seek out and develop new OEM parts sales channels.
  • Full responsibility for OEM parts sales business steering.
  • Sales team steering: personnel, recruitment, management, and motivation, including setting objectives and reviewing performance.
  • Review sales data and figures and hold monthly program review meetings.
  • Analyze the landscape and cluster the market into customer groups and sales channels.
  • Identify OEM sales opportunities in the independent collision, mechanical & service & wear sectors.
  • Identify and manage a key suite of KPIs to drive sales.
  • Convert OEM sales opportunities by defining and delegating adequate measures.

 

Candidate Specification (essential)

  • Expert knowledge of OES / OEM landscape.
  • A dynamic Manager from a manufacturer, Dealer Senior Manager or Aftermarket distributor background.
  • Ability to increase OEM market share against OES competition.
  • Demonstratable success of managing field sales teams & high-profile stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in sales and target achievement.
  • Ability to broker deals at senior stakeholder level.
  • A full understanding of vehicle manufacturer trade sales operations at NSC level.
  • Can demonstrate a combination of diplomacy and forcefulness to overcome hurdles.
  • Highly organized and efficient work methodology, able to work under pressure in competitive environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills, able to communicate content and ideas simply and succinctly.
  • Ability to travel within designated territory.

Reporting to

Operations Director and Strategic Account Executive

 

Working hours

Full time (40 hrs. per week) and prepared to work overtime when needed.

The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXI, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95k to $110k based on current experience.
