Job Summary:

In this position as Project Controls Supervisor, you will lead a team to manage cost engineering, cost analysis/control, forecasting, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires technical skill and expertise. You will provide leadership, oversight, guidance, training, and mentoring to your team on key project procedures and risk management to ensure successful project execution and delivery. You will be instrumental in continuing to grow the Renewables & Clean Energy business. The position on the project will start assignment in Reston, VA prior to being assigned to a renewable project in Indiana. #LI-NP1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in the administration of Project Controls activities such as input for weekly project action items list, maintains database, prepares reports, and provides additional supervision
  • Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule
  • Coordinates the total integration of schedule activities
  • Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces
  • Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project
  • Conducts project schedule analysis & studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
  • Collects and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision
  • Coordinates cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards
  • Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
  • Leads risk workshops, interviews & information gathering relating to risk identification, review, and update

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working on infrastructure projects required.
  • Working knowledge of project control tools and cost databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Primavera scheduling concepts.
  • Capability and flexibility to handle multiple tasks in restricted timeframes to support project goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior demonstrated capability to present information and analysis to senior management.
