About this Position: 

The HUB Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational areas within the 3 Hubs (Chino, Troy, and Loudon) as well as the Service Parts Packaging operations (Troy, Kettering, and Loudon). These areas include inbound/outbound operations, import/export, inventory management, dealer customer service and operating budgets. Lead 13 Third Party Logistics (3PL) management associates and 600+ warehouse and packaging associates by setting direction and future vision of the HUB’s and Packaging operations for a cost effective, efficient, and quality packaging and distribution of service parts. 

 

Must seek continuous improvement opportunities, system enhancements and process improvements to reduce costs and increase production efficiency. Set ambitious but realistic goals for HUB/Packaging operations and Quality Assurance for the purpose and improving overall performance. Act as the pacesetter for the team and organization, guiding the 3PL and Packaging solutions provider to achieve goals in adverse conditions while holding the team accountable for results. The Manager will also abide and enforce company policies.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Create future vision and set direction to effectively guide management teams to achieve business goals. Primary liaison between 3PL and Purchasing, Parts Center operations, Transportation, Packaging, Quality, Inventory Planning, and material suppliers. Oversee and evaluate 3PL warehouse and Packaging operations and guiding contract management teams on best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain annual budget for HUB’s, Service Parts Packaging and Quality Assurance (4 Cost Centers).
  • Maintain accurate and clear documentation for operational procedures and activities. Ensure team follows standard operating procedures and work in compliance with company policies and procedures. Adhere and enforce safety protocols for a safe associate work environment.
  • Provide Honda associate appraisals, promotions, compensation, and termination based on performance reviews and conduct frequent associate evaluation, feedback, and guidance. Assist in evaluations for 3PL and Packaging operations management teams. Mentor and develop associates.
  • Motivate associates in areas of strengths while developing them in other areas to maximize flexibility and associate engagement.
  • Provide customer support for dealer network on direct dealer parts shipments and returns.

 

 

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 10 years leadership/supervisory experience
  • 7 years of experience in distribution, warehousing and/or logistics

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work-related experience

 

Desired skills:

  • Leadership, budgeting, & Honda knowledge
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and analyze plan effectiveness against stated objectives and produce countermeasures when tactics are not achieving desired results
