Nature of Work:

  • Oversee and manage the scouting department.

Examples of work performed:

  • Deliver and present player targets to the Club’s General Manager and Sporting Director along with clear and concise justification as to why they fit the Club’s recruitment philosophy and strategy. 
  • Manage the Club’s player database in conjunction with the Analytics Department.
  • Supervise the Club’s Head of European Scouting, Head of South American Scouting, and Head of North American Scouting.
  • Report on the performance and development of the Club’s scouts, as well as provide feedback on their work.
  • Establish and maintain a reliable network of scouts and recruitment contacts.
  • Attend Rapids 1st team training sessions to ensure appropriate benchmarking of players.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. High School or GED
    2. 5+ years’ experience in field in a senior scouting or recruitment position
    3. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. Certification or soccer licensure either as a coach or in talent identification
    2. US Soccer B license or equivalent
    3. US Soccer Scouting License preferred

Compensation

  • Base $100,000 per annum
