Job Summary: The Research Specialist works with departmental staff to design and conduct research projects.

Additional Department Summary: This position will report to Dr. Mark Cheng. Assists with research related to microplastic sensors. Works with a multidisciplinary team to develop hardware and software to capture and monitor microplastic in the environment.

Required Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree or higher.

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge in electronics, and solid programming skills and knowledge (Python, C, machine learning).

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or closely related STEM field. Experience in microplastic analysis.
