AutoNation is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Manager of HR Business Analytics to join our HR team. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making within the HR department, working closely with the CHRO. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication & PowerPoint presentation skills, Excel proficiency, and proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R. This position is a senior or manager level, functioning as a highly accountable individual contributor without direct reports. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the CHRO and other HR stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Serve as a liaison between the HR department and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.

    2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze HR data and generate reports using CRM and HR systems.
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance HR data models, reporting systems, and dashboards.

      3. Dashboard and Presentation Creation:

      • Create comprehensive dashboards and executive-level presentations to support board meetings and strategic decision-making.
      • Ensure that data presentations are clear, concise, and tailored for executive audiences.

        4. Proactive Insight Management:

        • Monitor communications and proactively address incoming data-related requests.
        • Anticipate and provide timely and relevant insights to support executive decision-making.

          5. Technical Proficiency:

          • Utilize coding skills in Python, R, or other programming languages to perform advanced data analysis and automate reporting processes.
          • Leverage statistical and data visualization techniques to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

            6. Executive Communication:

            • Communicate findings and insights effectively at an executive level.
            • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that can be readily used by the CHRO in board meetings.

              Qualifications:

              • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
              • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with a focus on HR data preferred.
              • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
              • Strong experience with CRM systems, HR analytics tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
              • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
              • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to executive audiences.
              • Proven ability to work independently and take high levels of accountability.
              • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to data management and reporting.
