Role Summary
SalubrisBio is seeking highly motivated full-time Scientist to join our Downstream Process Development Team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development of antibody-based pipeline programs with a specific focus on antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecifics, and fusion proteins. The candidate should have experience in downstream process development and is expected to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing start-up environment with a high degree of self-motivation.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develop robust and scalable downstream processes at the laboratory scale for the purification of antibodies or antibody-based therapeutic proteins using a DOE-based approach.
· Support scale-up of downstream processes and technology transfer to cGMP manufacturing facilities for clinical material production; work with the cGMP manufacturing team to generate and review SOPs and batch records for traceability.
· Perform routine bench work under limited supervision, effectively prioritize responsibilities, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including other members of research & development, upstream development, analytical sciences, and manufacturing to ensure seamless technology transfer from lab-scale to commercial production.
· Able to analyze, interpret, and present results to project teams and write technical reports.
· Support equipment maintenance and calibration.
· Train junior scientists as needed.
Qualifications:
· PhD in Biochemistry/Biology or related scientific disciplines with 1 year of relevant experience, Master’s with 3+, or Bachelor’s with 5+.
· Industry experience in process development for therapeutic protein purification with downstream purification techniques including depth filtration, chromatography, and TFF.
· Familiarity with Akta systems and Unicorn required.
· Understanding of design of experiments (DOE) methodologies and their application in process optimization. Familiarity with statistical tools such as JMP preferred.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
