Our company is a local private practice that provides speech, occupational and feeding therapy to children in a clinic-based setting. We place a special emphasis on creating a supportive environment for clinicians to help them engage in continuous learning and growth (interpersonally and professionally) that will allow them to treat patients confidently and effectively.

As a Pediatric SLP in Talking Tadpoles you will have the opportunity to work in a clinic setting with all the advantages of being led by a therapist-focused team that values empathy, collaboration and personal growth.

You will have the benefit of weekly individual meetings with a lead who understands the wins and challenges you face each day. You are able to focus on aspects of being a therapist that you love: working with children and collaborating with other like-minded professionals while we provide support each step of the way. Internally, we have specialty programs to help clinicians grow their skills in advanced areas of the field including, AAC and feeding. We promote internally into clinical and operational leadership roles and are committed to developing the skills of team members to create pathways to management or leadership.

**All treating caseloads are 28-32 hours per week to allow time to focus on other aspects of patient care, professional development and team building.

The pediatric speech-language pathologist is a vital part of the Talking Tadpoles team. Our ideal candidate has exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, is able to work independently, and seeks professional growth in all aspects. A commitment to evidence-based practice is a must. This role requires on a daily basis a mix of high-quality personal engagement with families and other team members and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that will lead to the best outcomes for our families.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • SLP Texas State License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (strongly preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work the following schedule: (1) Monday through Thursday from7:50 am to 6:30 pm

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in treating pediatric populations
  • Pediatric feeding experience is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Experienced SLP-Assistants may apply
  • CFs may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Early to Intermediate proficiency in working with children who utilize or benefit from the use of AAC
  • Deliver competent and skilled treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders for children 1 year to 18 years of age.
  • Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals as part of the care plan.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing administration or billing with necessary information
  • Document assessment and treatment consistent with professional and practice standards for timeliness and thoroughness
  • Participate in staff meetings and/or trainings remotely or in-person
  • Engage in continuing education that is relevant to current caseload
  • Maintain professional licensure and certification needed to practice
  • Use sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into considerate evidence based practice
  • Demonstrate appropriate enthusiasm and passion for the exceptional work that is done in the setting
