Job Description:

  • Researches and provides guidance regarding federal, state, and local regulations which impact the general and operating business activities of the organization
  • Provide updates to executive staff on legislative and regulatory changes which impact the operations of the organization
  • Provide advise to executive staff on legal matters as they arise
  • Serve as primary contact for all legal matters related to the organization and managing owner
  • Assist outside counsel with legal matters
  • Review and draft business contracts for the organization and managing owner
  • Draft and file entity formation documents, business legal documents, state related business registration and annual reports
  • Manage organization's intellectual property and statutory filings
  • Maintain all legal related records for organization
  • Support clinical compliance team as needed


Qualifications:

  • Have a Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in related legal field
  • Hold active license to practice law in Texas
  • Experience as general counsel or comparable legal role
  • Experience with healthcare law
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
  • Knowledgeable of how healthcare businesses operate
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal documents related to private offerings for ownership
  • Effective communication skills
