Mentor Program Manager

As the mentor program manager, you will closely mentor identified students who need assistance with various matters to ensure they have the necessary skills and level of engagement to be successful. Responsibilities include matching identified students with appropriate mentors based on student need and the unique talents of each mentor, overseeing and directing the activities and method of instruction utilized by the mentors, and implementing tools such as learning plans for mentor usage. In this position you will be expected to monitor and track the progress of students in the program to determine if other university resources should be engaged and to communicate timely progress reports to appropriate personnel in the President's office. Additionally, you will recruit teaching professionals and other qualified individuals to serve as mentors and conduct workshops or trainings on the most effective methods of instruction, tools, and techniques to maximize student learning.

Minimum Qualifications:  

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications: 

Master’s in relevant discipline
Previous experience working with students to enhance their skills

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
