Could you be the full-time Assistant General Manager‐Training/Rules/Compliance/Safety in CT we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your recruitment expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the General Manager, and work alongside exceptional, enthusiastic and collaborative teammates.

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Regarding safety
    • The MTRCS shall be responsible with compliance with the Authority’s System Safety Plan (SSP) and FRA Part 270 and all other FRA, CPUC safety related requirements.
    • Participate and follow up on corrective actions for safety audits, participate in safety committees, Emergency Response Drills, reporting, acting on unsafe/hazardous conditions, or accident and incident reporting.
  • Regarding training 
    • Design, develop and implement a comprehensive training, testing, qualification, certification, and monitor programs that comply with the federal requirements particularly 49 CFR Part 243, as well as Contractor’s Authority approved training requirements.
  • Cross collaboration with different teams/functions in particular the Operations, Equipment, as well as suppliers, and vendors in developing annual training scope, schedules and budget(s) and then conducting training for the Contractors employees.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure employees have the most correct and current rules and requirements, as well as ensure digital and easily tracked business environment with the Authority

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience in a similar role i.e. Chief Safety Officer within a Rail environment for a commuter railroad or Class 1 with service and territory complexity.
  • Prior experience that demonstrates accomplishments that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness and regarded among peers as a Railroad infrastructure maintenance subject matter expert.
  • Knowledge of FRA, FTA, CPUC and other State and local regulations and practices related to the contracted operations, maintenance, and capital work.

  • $120,000.00  to $150,000.00 depending on experience/qualifications.
