This position is location in Whitehall, MI at the new core plant. Initial travel to Morristown, TN to learn process will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
Development and improvement of core forming processes.Collaborate with maintenance, automation, and manufacturing on machine functionality and press outputsEstablish process critical TPM criteria Define critical to quality process metrics and establish working tolerances Train press specialists on critical process metrics Drive yield improvement initiatives with core engineers in the forming processes Connect forming process metrics to overall yield and throughputAssistance in the implementation of quality programs.Participate in continuous improvement projects for both yield and productivityReview and monitoring of core quality metrics.Coordinate with compound process owner on impacts of material to the forming process% Scrap produced, quality standard.Prepares periodic reports on the activities carried out.Review and prepare Core forming area procedures. Implement forming best practicesAnalyze service and production standards and limitations.Restructure product criteria for easy understanding.Interact with quality and support departments on quality issues and specifications requested in Core processes.Interpret product criteria, acceptable guides and defects.Help Casting plants, Clients and/or Suppliers with Core problems.Find solutions to maintain product flow.

Basic Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
