Job Summary:

The Manager Clinical Pharmacy (PIC) is responsible for performing clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the review, processing, compounding and dispensing of prescribed medications, drugs and supplies needed for patient care in accordance with all state and federal regulations.

Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership, direction and guidance to develop and mentor direct reports to ensure a balanced workflow and maximized output; Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; Build and maintain employee morale and motivation; Ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; Foster a diverse and inclusive workplaceProvide oversight of clinical decision making and operational aspects of the pharmacyDevelop direct reports through orientation, training, communication of rules and constructive feedback, motivation, and loyalty. Identifies and develop direct reports abilities for promotional opportunities.Inform direct reports of departments' plans, programs, and operations that affect their areas, Implement pharmacy organization structure through proper hiring and placement, scheduling of work, assignment of responsibility, and delegation of authorityResponsible for supporting compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws as well as company and pharmacy policies and proceduresDevelop standards of work performance, orientation, and training programs and facilitatecontinuous improvement to achieve business results; recognizes development needs and capability gaps and arranges specific projects/assignments to address needsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development, oversight and implementation of departmental budgetResponsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of operational excellence engage in the selection and hiring process as neededOther responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictates“About Walgreens and WBA
