What You Will Do:

  • Review daily mix schedules and ensures the raw materials required are available
  • Follow mix instructions and accurately adds raw materials to the mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systems
  • Mix batches using variable agitation
  • Perform routine observation of product during the mixing and filling process to ensure batch quality. Report any out-of-spec raw material, premixes or mixed batches and consult s with Quality personnel on any batch adjustments.
  • Properly clean s out all mix tanks
  • Operate fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps and other material handling equipment to transport raw material and finished product
  • Perform building and equipment preventative maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Vancouver, WA
  • Work week and shift: Rotating Shifts Mon-Fri 4am-12pm & 9am-5pm
  • Compensation package offered: $29 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment
  • 1 year working with and understanding systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and tracking mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)
  • 1 year of experience performing basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests)
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to participate in respirator fitness
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry
  • Excellent attention to detail; must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documents
  • Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goods
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$29 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
