Job SummaryJob DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Project Delivery Office team is undertaking multiple complex strategic initiatives as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to improve business objectives. In this role you will be responsible for planning and managing successful implementation of projects.
The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished according on time, budget, schedule, scope, and quality. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner.
Monitor and control activities according to plan. Leads, directs and oversees activities on planning, delivery and implementation to ensure the project’s strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks.
Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriateDevelop and execute on end to end plans and plan and execute all communication related to these. Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables. Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.
Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes. Facilitates strong project governance and execution assurance processesManages project financialsWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: 5-7 years experience with application development projectsUndergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex projects and programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project. Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporationAbility to facilitate between and influence key decision makersStrategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businessesDeadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
