The Vice President, Business Administration - Construction will work for a leading General Contracting Construction Company in Hickory, North Carolina. The position is a newly created role reporting to the company CFO that will manage a lot of the Corporate Back Office function but will also partner with other Executive Leadership to implement organizational change and growth to ensure future strategic and financial goals are achieved. Job Description

Work closely with the CFO and executive team to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in collaboration with the Compliance SpecialistOversee internal audits and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks.Lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.Monitor cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital management.Manage Contract Administration team.Collaborate with project teams to review, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any disputes or claims.Provide strategic direction to the Human Resources department, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.Implement policies and programs to foster a positive work environment, promote diversity and inclusion, and ensure compliance with employment laws.Additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior leadership role overseeing business administration functions in a construction or related industry.In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements, financial management principles, and contract administration processes.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence across all levels of the organization.Exceptional analytic abilities with a track record of driving results through data-driven decision-making.Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, SHRM-CP, PMP) are highly desirable.
