App Security Architect

Location: Dallas, TX

Job summary: As a Manager - Projects in the role of App Security Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing robust security solutions for applications. With 8 to 12 years of experience, you will ensure our applications are fortified against security threats, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering secure and reliable software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of application security strategies to improve the security posture of our applications.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and supervise the implementation of identity and access management solutions using CA Identity Manager and CA/Broadcom Identity Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations by implementing CA-Governance Minder for effective governance.
  • Provide guidance on application security to project teams, improving their ability to develop secure applications.
  • Keep abreast of the latest security threats and technologies to continuously improve our security frameworks.
  • Facilitate security training sessions for development teams to cultivate a security-first culture within the organization.
  • Lead project timelines and resources to ensure security initiatives are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with collaborators across the organization to align security strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must have a good background in application security with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in implementing and handling identity and access management solutions, specifically with CA Identity Manager and CA/Broadcom Identity Manager, is required.
  • Experience with CA-Governance Minder and a proven understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks is essential.
  • Superb communication and teamwork are necessary to effectively work with multi-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks is essential.
  • Ability to lead projects and guide teams towards achieving security objectives is a must.

Certification(s) Required

  • CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY PROFESSIONAL (CISSP) OR EQUIVALENT

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 5th June 2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 to $136,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
