Location Information

Saint Threse is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that offers a continuum of care and services available at one of our four Twin Cities communities: Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Woodbury, and our newest site opening in Corcoran in September 2024.

Since 2016, Saint Therese of Woodbury is our youngest community. Social vibrancy, distinctive living spaces and a continuum of care blend to create a unique senior living experience. We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; 56 skilled and transitional care suites. The Redwoods Senior Apartments joined the campus in late 2017.

Responsibilities: Committed to the spiritual care of all at St. Therese of Woodbury, the Pastoral Care Coordinator serves as a member of the Pastoral Care team who visits, comforts, and gives counsel to residents, family members and occasionally staff members. Organizes, coordinates and manages the operations of the campus volunteer programs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience: Experience in pastoral ministry and in health care setting preferred. One year experience in a volunteer leadership role or comparable work experience

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A pleasant mannerism and Christian values which welcome each person as Christ.
  • Interpersonal communication skills necessary to work with distressed and anxious residents, families and staff.
  • A commitment to those experiencing spiritual challenges, anguish or distress.
  • A comfort in sharing prayer and in speaking about spirituality, death and dying.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of Saint Therese
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate functions of a volunteer program
