Tacoma, United States Veterans Health Administration Part time

The RN practices in the Medicine Specialty Clinics. The patient population includes individuals with acute and/or chronic health conditions or change in mental status; these conditions may negatively affect normal individual functioning. Duties may include but are not limited to:
Daily management of patient flow through the clinic and participation in the plan of care as part of an interdisciplinary team of providers for each clinic
Preventive health assessment and teaching
Care and follow-up is planned considering the patient's age, culture, disease process, support system and identified needs
Telephone care for assigned groups of patients
One-on-one and group visits to provide patient education, follow-up care, wound care, follow-up injections, BP and other health care management
The RN will be required to float to different clinical areas to cover for staffing needs.
