Project Engineer (Kona) (215607-11)

Work may be performed in a project site office/field setting on an active, outdoor setting, construction site.

Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Location Kailua-Kona, Big Island Pay $70,000 to $90,000 a year Responsibilities
  • Manage project progress, administration, and change management.
  • Subcontract management and administration, including defining their scope of work, overseeing the RFI and Submittal process, and monitoring construction progress.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in project start-up activities.
  • Review subcontractor's submittals for compliance with the design documents.
  • Manage and coordinate inspections, close out process, and coordination amongst the various trades.
  • Ability to identify potential risks on project scopes and/or the project.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least two - three years previous computer and work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous construction experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
