Role: Gameday Operations InternLocation: In Person. Non-Remote.Reports to: Director of Operations and Operations Coordinator.This position is non-paid. College Credit available.Misc: An applicant must either attend a North Carolina school or be a permanent North Carolina resident attending a school out of state. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Interns may work a maximum of 24 hours per week.

Position Summary:As a Gameday Operations Intern, your responsibilities will be assisting in setting up and dismantling gameday equipment for all home matches at Truist Point. Your role will be working closely with the Director of Operations and Operations Coordinator to ensure that all items are in place for each home match throughout the season. This position will operate at Truist Point Stadium and Congdon Yards.
Responsibilities include but not limited to assisting with:Assisting in Assembly of Gameday Experience
  • Moving static field boards into place on the playing surface.
  • Placing soccer goals and corner flags into correct positions on the pitch.
  • Situating VIP seating section along the sideline for each home match.
  • Locating and setting up stanchions and tents for on-field festivity named "Party on the Pitch."
  • Assisting with set-up of merchandising locations throughout the stadium and on the concourse.
  • Managing and transporting gameday and merchandising inventory from storage units to Truist Point and vice versa.
  • Raising and dismantling of baseball net in between home matches for each sport.
  • Aid in monitoring of gameday organization, tidiness, and cleanliness.
Matchday
  • Help will be needed in ensuring that the gameday experience goes smoothly for spectators in attendance. 
  • Assistance may be required with stretcher crew for each match.
  • Role may vary on a match-to-match basis.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Background in sport operations at the international, professional, or collegiate level.
  • Meticulous with a passion for creating processes, principles, and structure.
  • Relationship-based and understanding and appreciative of the demands of players and staff.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks.
  • Must align with Carolina Core’s community and people-focused club culture and share in our drive for excellence, innovation, collaboration, and integrity.
  • Enthusiastic about soccer, former playing experience a plus.
  • Enthusiastic and initiative-taking attitude.
  • Forward thinker and contributor of ideas and opinions to tasks in hand.
  • High work ethic, with an ability to work both independently and part of a wider team.
  • Collaborative in nature, with an efficient and effective communication style.
  • Enthusiastic about building from the ground up.
  • Analytical person / solution oriented.
  • MLS, USL and/or NWSL experience and/or knowledge of the Triad/Core area is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking long distance.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
